About Us
Woodridge Schools
The Woodridge Local School District in Peninsula, Ohio enjoys a unique setting adjacent to and partially within the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, the state's only national park. The district draws students from parts of seven communities: Peninsula, Boston Township, Boston Heights, Cuyahoga Falls, Stow, Hudson, and Akron. The district comprises Woodridge Elementary School (K-5), Woodridge Middle School (6-8) and Woodridge High School (9-12).
While academic growth and achievement remain our major focus, what students gain from activities beyond the classroom can be as important as the subjects and course work they engage in within the classroom. The Woodridge Local School District offers a comprehensive academic experience that is bolstered by a wide array of extra and co-curricular programming, thanks in large part to the ongoing support of our community. The valuable partnerships and collaborations that exist with members of the school community help to ensure ongoing student success. Academic programs are enhanced and made relevant as students extend their learning outside the classroom through involvement in clubs, sports, and field trips. With the support of our dedicated teachers, staff and administrators, our students have equitable access to high-quality education
The district works dilgently to prepare our students for future success by providing the resources and support they need to achieve at high levels, prioritizing educating the whole child so their health and well-being is ensured. Woodridge provides multiple platforms to engage with families in order to strengthen relationships within our district and community. Our hope is that together, we can continue to create an environment where everyone feels a sense of belonging and is excited about learning.
The district’s commitment to excellence is unwavering as we remain focused on our vision: “Guiding our youth. Planning for the future. Learning for a lifetime.”
