WHY CONNECTING TO WIFI MATTERS

We recommend (but do not require) connecting your personal cell phone to our wireless network. Connecting your device will extend battery life (as it won’t be looking for a weak cell signal all day), provide access to district and personal apps, and, if you turn on WIFI-calling, may allow for improved phone coverage while on campus.

WIFI CALLING & TEXTING

The strongest cell phone signal on campus is AT&T (they have the closest tower). If you have another carrier, you may wish to enable Wi-Fi calling on your phone. There is typically no charge required by carriers to enable this feature.

(While on wifi, this may increase your phone's ability to route phone calls and text messages beyond the typical coverage footprint provided by your carrier. Results may vary. The district does not guarantee wifi-calling related services or availability, but can assist in person with the initial setup if requested.)

To set this up a on an iPhone, visit Settings | Cellular | and turn on Wi-Fi calling.

To set this up on an Android phone, visit Settings | Network | and turn on Wifi calling.

Your carrier may prompt you to verify / update your emergency address. Some users can do this on their phones - others may need to speak to their carrier to modify this or enable wi-fi calling.
