As Principal of Woodridge Elementary School, I along with our teachers and staff, welcome you to our school website.
I invite you to be an active participant in our school community in whatever capacity you are able. I am energized and deeply committed to making a positive difference in the life of each child at WES. We consider your participation, questions and comments to be evidence of genuine concern for the growth and development of your child.
WES is home to the district’s 830 Preschool through Fifth Graders, and is part of the Woodridge campus, near the middle school, high school and board of education. The school day at Woodridge Elementary School begins at 8:30, with the tardy bell ringing at 8:55 AM and finishes at 3:15 PM.
There are several extracurricular programs for students. In fifth grade, students can participate in Student Council. Throughout the year, these 5th graders help to organize a variety of service projects, and are responsible for paper recycling in the building. We also have Chess Club after school for students so that they gain the understanding of reasoning, planning and math, all of which are benefits of the ancient game. Students can also participate in ski club, which is offered at Boston Mills/Brandywine for skiers and snowboarders, starting at age 8. The program includes four hours of slope time per session, equipment rental and up to five lessons.
My main desire is that your children have beneficial learning experiences and that we deliver the best services and instruction to your children. Please know that my door is always open, and I look forward to leading our young Bulldogs learn to be responsible, respectful citizens who are ready to be their personal best.
